Dear All,

Please let me know which is the best linux desktop OS for Java develoment.
I don't want to use Windows 2000 OR Windows XP.

We are using both Red Hat Linux 4.0 ws and Debian 3.x for Java. So you can try any one of them w/o problem. And we are using Eclipse IDE we are using http://www.eclipse.org/

I have RedHat9 (kernel 2.4) and Fedora(kernel 2.6) then which will be the best option?

Sure fedora with kernel 2.6 is good
