rajuk,
Is it a router? or USB modem? Are you using ethernet/usb to connect to HUAWEI SmartAX MT880 for BSNL Broadband? Let me know then we can help you.

It's a modem & using ethernet to connect. Also BSNL has not given any Static IP. I am trying to connect in as PPPOE.

Rajuk I have same modum cum router, yup it is a router. Do as follows:

1) Setup your network card as follows:
Code:

Your Fedora computr IP Address: 192.168.1.2
Your Fedora computr Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Your Fedora computr Netmask: 255.255.255.0
2) Open browser and type url http://192.168.1.1 and
user: admin
password: admin

3)
Under SmartAX MT880, go to Home->WAN Settings, do the following:

In the pull down menu ...

Code:
    PVC Number->PVC-0 and
and ...

Code:
    WAN Type->PPP

    Connection Type->PPPoE

    VPI/VCI:->0/35
Under PPP, enter your user name and password.

Code:
Username: userid@dataone (or just userid)
Password: deluser2005 (the assigned password)
Click on Apply.

4) Save settings

At SmartAX MT880->Tools->System Settings

Click on Save & Restart

After restarting the router
