Thread: View Windows XP Hard-Disk Paritions and its contents from virtualbox

hey all,
i've found some post already in this forum but its not that related
because am using VirtualBox.

I have two paritions on my pc C:\ & D:\
their type is NTFS.

Using xp as HOST
Using Ubuntu 9.10 as GUEST -> Via VirtualBOX

purpose : view C:\ & D:\ from Ubutnu.

Turn on virtual box folder sharing go to youtube.com and search for video tutorial. It explains how to do the same.

I already googled and made the sharing folder's option


sudo mount -t vboxsf XP /media/windows-share


but this shares a specific folder which is XP
and each time i wanna share folder/files among two os(after 1st boot of Ubutnu)
i need to write

sudo mount -t vboxsf XP /media/windows-share
in shell prompt i could add this to init but no need.

the negative property of this way that it only shares 1 folder
am not aware if it could share whole Drive or whole parition like c:\ or d:\ and not only a specific folder.

sudo mount -t vboxsf C_DRIVE /media/c

i was seeking for the name
C_DRIVE
