Default php/mysql programmer moving to linux?

Hi,

I am a php/mysq programmer & I'd like to completely get rid of windows and switch to linux.

I am mainly using these:
- zend dev environment/php editor
- browsers: ie, ff, safari
- a web localhost - apache, php, mysql
- sometimes adobe photoshop - screenshots, basic image manipulation

considering all these what linux distribution do you think I should use?

are there any php/mysql programmers that work in linux only?

I am really looking forward to hearing from you guys.

thank you.

Photoshop will not run directly under Linux. You need to use Wine or corssover to run photoshop under Linux. Rest of the stuff should work without any problem. For new user Debian OR CentOS recommend for server OS. Another option is before making switch install Linux inside VMWare or Virtualbox and practice a bit. Once comerftable make a switch.

I vote for Fedora.

- zend dev environment/php editor -Zend has php editor for linux too. Though most end using Eclipse or vim / emacs under Linux
- browsers: ie, ff, safari Only FF will work with Linux. IE6 can be loaded using Wine.
- a web localhost - apache, php, mysql - All runes on Linux
- sometimes adobe photoshop - screenshots, basic image manipulation - See vivek's post.
