Default Novice needs to FTP from Windows to Linux

Any help is greatly appreciated.
What software should I be using to FTP from a Windows 2003 server to a Linux server running under IBM System Z?

I need to publish Cognos packages on the Linux server.

I have Putty and don't know is the correct tool for this task.

Many thanks,
Mike

Windows 2003 and other versions have command line ftp client, which can be used from batch scripts. If you need free and GUI tools try the following FTP client:
  1. WinSCP :: Free SFTP and FTP client for Windows
  2. FireFTP - The Free FTP Client for Mozilla Firefox
