Question OS isolation in multi boot

We (Computer club) have a group of dual boot computers used to teach XP/VISTA to senior citizens. The Teaching SIG(special interest group) have successfully managed the computers for several years. Images are made, restorations from image are common and well understood.
Our Linux SIG would like a triple boot on the computers so we could begin using the training facility. The SIG in charge of maintaining the Windows OS's has a concern with Linux users mounting their Windows partitions and causing damage.
Is there a way to prevent the Linux OS from accessing the Windows partitions? I realize a live CD will circumvent the normal protection if the bios is changed. Virtual machines are not acceptable.

Default

Only root user can mount Windows partitions. Some operating system such as Fedora or Ubuntu may do it automatically. This can be easily disabled.
