Exclamation ThinClients! Please help

Hello all!
I recently joined nixCraft and I'm in search of some help fast!

I've installed Fedora 10 on two desktops. The purpose of these desktops is to create ThinCLients so we can log them into a virtual machine to teach a new software to our employees.

The machines are using GNOME.

Needs: I need these machines to login automatically when booted into the virtual machines, my user's don't know Linux and don't need to see it.

What I've done is load rdesktop and made sure DNS resolves in these machines. I'm on my third "fresh install" of Fedora and it runs failry lean right now, since I don't need much from it.....

I have one huge problem keeping me from making progress right now. I'm not able to move my script (to log the machine into the virtual server automatically) into the /usr/local/bin folder as suggested by other sites. The error says I don't have suffiicient permissions, so I must not be loged in as root. The ONLY way I know how to log in as root is to go to the terminal and hit su <enter> then type password.... but doesn't work... I am, however, able to go to System> Personal> Sessions and load it into the Startup programs, but it doesn't work....

The way I'm trying to move the script over to that folder is by doing a SAVE AS.. which may not be the proper way..

Would there be an easier way of doing this? like starting up to a "rdesktop -f -u -p <hostname>" ?

I hope I've put everything out there that's needed. And thank you all for suggestions and considerations!

I'm not sure I understood your problem. However, you can use ssh to move files between all systems.
