Default How do I configure Linux as central syslog server?

Hi all,

We have couple of Linux/Solaris and Windows 2000 servers running. All of
them create logs on same system. Is it possible to create log on central
Linux server? If so what rules I need to add to Linux iptables ? I found
some resource on net but none of them specifies how can I use Windows
2000 to log events to Linux server I’m sure Linux will act as
syslog server for windows too.

I’m new to UNIX world hence please give the information step by step
thanks in advanced

Hello

A quick search at sf.net suggests http://ntsyslog.sourceforge.net/

This program runs as a service under Windows NT based operating systems. It formats all System, Security, and Application events into a single line and sends them to a syslog(3) host aka Linux/UNIX host.
