To guess, try
1.checking the pink and pale-green are in their sockets for the earplugs. If your using speakers you may need a different jack end of the same size(e.g. stereo). 2. Be sure the "activating hardware detection" shows in your main first boot screen outputs or you may need to go into the "control center" and go to the tree in the "konqueror browser" left column and look for the hardware multimedia ports e.t.c. and see if that can help or detect your onboard or PCI sound card. ? can you play sounds when you commit GUI actions such as deleting files, minimising and maximising windows(try switching those on by right clicking the desktop window and going through the desktop setting .Also look in the "system settings" tag on the start menu. |
