Default 'bashrc 'User Profile

Hi

I have created a specific dir (eg, inst) in users profile, I want that when user login into their respective ids , inst folder get mounted automatically thru NFS server....

I read somewhere to add :
mount -t nfs nfsserver_ip:/path /home/username/inst

in .bashrc file of that user profile..

I m tried it but nothing happened and when I login thru user its says error:
mount can only be done by root.

Pleased Advice

Thnx

I am not very sure of its usage, but you can take a look at "sudo" command. It allows normal users to execute commands that can be run by root using the permissions set in sudoers file.
