Default Linux Setting up talk for network communication

im trying to set up talk so i can message my friend through bash. but i dont know how to connect to my friends computer. can anyone show me a guide or tell me how to set it up?

Default

First talk daemon must be running on the other user's machine. To talk to other user type
Code:
talk username@othermachine
talk tom@unix-server
By default, talk requests are normally not blocked.
