Why do you need to use windows media player on Linux? Linux has much better players that can play any format. Try mplayer and vlc. Both can play almost any file format / DVD / CD / movies and music. Are there any specific reasons for using windows media player under Linux?

Wine for windows program. Just download vlc rpm file and install it. It is a native version for Linux.

You need to configure RPM repo see following url
DAG: Frequently Asked Questions

Once configured just use yum command to install package and all dependencies automatically.
