Default squid ftp connection

Hi ,

I am having squid proxy server 2.5 on redhat and ubuntu box.When I do ftp connection using IE through proxy it gives error and not connect to ftp.If I am not wrong ftp is disabled by default in squid.Can anyone tell me how to do this?
One more thing I want to modify the access denied page any idea about this?

AFAIK, you don't need to do anything special to enable FTP support in Squid. What does it say when you connect to an ftp url ? To customize error pages edit files in /etc/squid/errors. They are HTML pages.

Hi ,
I got the error pages directory , thnx for that.I am not getting some error while connection from ftp it is saying no permission to access the folder.
While connecting from command line it saying unable to connect.

Are you sure that the errors are generated by Squid ? Squid error pages will contain a squid signature with its version.

no this is what I got when I try to connect from cmd.This may be the issue with firewall routing as well .But any way traffic going from any pc is routing through proxy server which is not limitting the port.
