Hi Nixcraft Thanx for your reply, I already have these but I didn't find others, why is that ? As I know eDir is one of the most powerful Directory Managers in the world but not alot of info about it !!!

Is the reason that not alot of people use it ? or there is no expert in it ?

BTW nix, what does HTH mean ?

Once upon time novell was king of directory service which is now captured by other players such as Microsoft and others.

HTH = Hope this helps!

You can try OpenLDAP or Redhat directory service from Fedora Core. If you search *specific* sites you will also find some good ebooks on Novell eDirectory

Oh err, I thought you need a book. LOL

Personally we have openldap with tons of object in it. However managing OpenLDAP takes a lot time and effort.

For your usage 50+ user; Fedora directory server will do the job. eDirectory is also good but it will be overkill for 50 users and 4 servers, IMPO.

Documentation - Fedora Directory Server

Vivek, what does IMPO mean ? and who said that we have 4 servers
I really think I must use openLDAP, not this fedora thing, because all our servers use SLES 9 and 10 only one server uses RHEL4

Is it ok ?

Go for OpenLDAP it is nice.

About 4 server -- was just an example not a real number

That was a typo - IMPO

it should be IMHO which means In My Humble Opinion
