Default Linux Configuring LTO2 SCSI tape drive

Hi all

I have requiment of configuring LTO2 scsi tape drive in rhel 3.0. Up6.
This needs to congigured w/o rebooting m.c.
please help with commands,

Default

No driver is required. Just load the driver for your SCSI card and then type the following to load tape driver:
Code:
modprobe st
Above command works with any tape drive connected with a SCSI interface. Once done you can use tar and mt commands to make backups and control the tape.

this st is already loaded may I need to unload it and load it back
pls let me know how to do this.

No use mt command to access /dev/st0. See tar and mt command how to for more info:
