i use linux in almost each and every state possible.
how and what uses linux in the devices i got.
4 * p2 - 233 - obviously linux (now all retired hurt, thanks to 12000 INR power bill + A/C)
p4 -1.7 gigs - again linux (retired hurt, see above)
{
amd64 athlon - again linux + openbsd (retired hurt, see above)
amd X2 - again linux + open/net/free bsd (retired hurt, see above)
core2duo - again linux + linux from scratch + bsd from scratch + alive
}
{} = interswapable to conserve power
transcend 4 GiB super fast USB -> debian etch encrypted (serves as A-Z) most trusted, RIGHT HAND RED NECK MAN. X -> OFF when low resource else ON.
transcend 2 GiB v20 -> debian sid/experimental encrypted (serves as A-Z). X -> OFF when low resource else ON.
transcend 4 GiB v30 -> debian sid/experimental encrypted (serves as A-Z). X -> OFF when low resource else ON.
kingston 4 GiB -> BLFS (duh, just trying to push to the edge of the envelope, still got 2.6 GiB free space).
kingston 2 GiB -> sid encrypted, serves as pen testing cum vuln asses (A-Z)
2 * maxtor 500 GiB encrypted + used as portable clone backup drives viz raid 5 type.

200 GiB ATAPI + USB + Windows 2003 (all) encrypted + just in case, says who you cant have windows in USB and encrypted.

Fedora and CentOS are used every day here at "home".

Windoze, not so much... Only when I have to FIX it for a client. :/

New to this forum, looks like a good bunch!

Been foolin' with Linux since RH 6.0, tried other distros but seem to come back to RH. Used to it, I guess.

I use it everyday on all my systems. Laptop runs Ubuntu and my desktop is dual-boot with Debian and Gentoo.

I use it everyday.

I've got a Debian Lenny on my desktop with a Fedora Leonidas.
On my Laptop, I've got a Debian Squeeze with Zenwalk 6.0.

Hi..
I am using Ubuntu Since 4 years, since I am not interested in using a pirated xp ..
but I am happy with it and can do almost all things that can be done on a windows system..( still better )
and for my blog I use CentOs 5.0x

hi I am new to Linux Have easily loaded ubuntu workstation and got it working
Am now trying to load server and set up network.
Is there a basis book explaining the prompts to setup server?
