Security
Performance
Stablity
Hardware support
etc

In windows you need to restart the machine after the installation of the softwares. But in linux you needn't do this at every time.

In linux very less virus....compared to windows...

All the softwares are free in linux...

Why Linux is better

Wel why dint you try it out first. People (like me) prefer linux because of the ideology on which it was built "freedom". And none the less it is simply the better operating system. Well let me tell you, if Microsoft didnt get OEM support they would have been no where.
