Default Squid server and outlook client

I have a problem . Outlook pop client is unable mails through squid server . Squid is simply configured.....some sites are allowed and some are denied . But its not able to get any mail and showing error . Is there any other configuration needs to pass outlook packets . And how to configure squid for outlook....Pls help.

Not possible, pop client requires pop3 server or pop3 proxy. Squid is web only proxy.

Yes...But its make possible to pass the pop through Linux squid-proxy-firewall system. Is there any way like iptables for redirecting the pop to Internet connected ethernet interface . Or proxy setting in Outlook express. Pls...suggest.
