Basic question from linux learner.
Is it possible that we don't have both roaming as well as local i.e home directory profile for samba users? If we create a user just by useradd then default @ home directory profile created with samba pdc.if we use -M in useradd it doesn't created. Is it possible that both local and roaming profile doesn't exist and still the next time user without valid logins able to retain the setting /work on the computer he/she worked on. Any update???
I wanted not to create home directory for the users, nor the roaming profile. Is it possible. My users would be static so no need of roaming profile..If will go for home directory once users logon the profile will be created on the server and will eat up the server space. |

Add a linux user by giving the following command
[root@sarfaraz ~]# adduser -M <username> this will not create a Home directory for the User cr8ed but will overrides /etc/login.defs After which you can add the user in Samba |
