Red face Mount as different User then root

Hi,

We have a windows 2003 R2 file server running NFS Services for UNIX.
if I log in to Linux NFS client as root. I am able to mount NFS shares from windows. but if I log in as Oracle I get the error message :

mount: only root can mount Servername.Domainname.local:/Share on nfs

I edited fstab to look like this: Servername.Domainname.local:/Share nfs noauto,users,rw,exec 0 0

I am looking for a way to have oracle put data in some directories in the windows file server running NFS for UNIX.

Default Sugestion

IMHO the mount doesn't need to be done as oracle, meaning that there is no harm in having the share mounted all the time.
For the second part , in order for the oracle user to be able to write he only needs write permission on the mount point and appropriate permissions on the other end(unless all_squash is used).

I was able to configure fstab with all the windows shares, and Oracle was able to mount windows shares after I setup Unix service for windows 2003 server and set the correct permissions in user mappings.

Thanks
