Hello,

We are running three servers, all Dell PowerEdge R515's, in our stack. 2 Servers are running Xen Cloud Platform 1.1 (XCP) and the other has Debian Squeeze 6.0.7 (postgres 8.4 database server).

We have a plethora of virtual machines running on each XCP host (All Debian Squeeze 6.0.7), with the hardware basically maxed out. Meaning, there isn't much ram left to allocate, and if at full load all CPU usage would be pegged. Generally it is never running at full load, however all VMs are powered on.

The issue we have is that each day (maybe once or twice a day) we have intermittent connectivity between our VMs in XCP and our database server. It appears from what we can tell that XCP stops passing traffic for anywhere from 8-18 minutes at a time. **Please see attached image. We have looked at all logs on the VMs and nothing is showing up. We use Zabbix for monitoring and have that setup to monitor the Dell PowerConnect 6224 switch. All XCP and database server ports are showing no traffic during this outage, however the port for internet is showing minimal traffic. So I would assume the switch is fine, but not 100% sure.

We have tried pulling logs from the XCP server, but I'm not real sure where to look. Sounds like a vSwitch issue on XCP. Any direction is greatly appreciated.
