Query regd dns config files in /var/named location for RHEL 5
Hi,
I have a doubt regd some of the config files for DNS in /var/named location.. I would like to know the use of these files. /var/named/localhost.zone /var/named/named.zero /var/named/named.broadcast How is this file /var/named/localhost.zone different to /var/named/localdomain.zone? Please let me know the usage of the above config files.

/var/named/localhost.zone - This is defined for loopback address.
/var/named/named.zero - This is defined for loopback PTR /var/named/named.broadcast -This is defined for broadcat ip such as 255.xxx.xxx.xx You don't have to modify these files. Just keep them as it is.
