Configuration of Sybase(ASE 15.0.2) Server
Hi,
I have installed ASE 15.0.2 server on OS - RHEL 4 (update 2). First i tried it on VMware slice and then on an independant machine. The database is installed properly and running fine, but the problem is, I am not able to access it from any other machine (Windows / Linux). On ping of the machine through DSEdit(Directory Services Editor) it gives me following error : Ping to Server using protocol TCP. Net-Lib protocol driver call to connect two endpoints failed. Failed to connect to the server - Error is 10061. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. I am new to Linux and not able to understand the problem. Can anyone could suggest anything, that i should try to configure.
