Hi
I don't know if this question is more coding or hardware related, but here goes. I am coding an Genetic Algorithm for my master thesis, and I'm using .NET on my windows laptop, and it seems to work fine. My problem is when I'm running it on my linux server using Mono. It is an Quad Core Intel Xeon, but it just uses 100% of 1 of the cores, and none of the other cores. My question is, is this related to Mono or is there any configurations for Linux that I need to enable to be able to run a process on several cores? Could just be poor thread-programming, I use the ThreadPool class and it seems to work fine under windows on my DualCore laptop. I'm running openSUSE 11.0. /Grey |
