Thread: Postfix Fails to Start

Hi folks,

i try to run postfix already installed on my CentOS 5.6 server , but it shows FAILED msg when i use this command

/etc/init.d/postfix start

Ok i tried to figure out the source of problem with i have tried this command

postalias /etc/aliases

this msg appear

postalias: warning: valid_hostname: misplaced delimiter: u1y3nntoq0.
postalias: fatal: unable to use my own hostname

so what next i really appreciate any suggestions thanks

What is the output of the following commands?

postfix -vvv

Do you get any specific error on screen or in /var/log/maillog file? Also, make sure you setup a valid FQDN.
