Thread: Value too large for defined data type

I have reinstalled today my centos but when I type the command

PHP Code:

ls 


I have this error

ls: name_file.tgz Value too large for defined data type

How I can resolve this problem? I have search on google but nothing solution :S

Your system does not support larger file >=2GB in ls. Did you compile kernel yourself? Are you using 32 bit systems?

Large files are defined as anything larger than a signed 32-bit integer, or stated differently, larger than 2GB.

now I have tryed to upgrade the kernel and the problem is resolved thanks for the suggestion
