Default Installing RPM's Manually

Hi,

Can anyone help me how to install RPM's, NIS Configuration,Appachi webserver, Samba,DEB's m manually using CD-ROM drive.. Im using VMware server. I've installed two Redhat Linux OS.. I want to maintain one m/c as a server. and other m/c as a client.. Pls guide me the same..

Use rpm or yum command to install rpms via CD / DVD.

Have you tried those commands? For e.g. to install rpm via RHN or the Internet:
Code:
yum install httpd
OR via cd (mount it) and type
Code:
rpm -ivh httpd*
You also need to read documentation - go here and download all pdf files redhat.com |
