Default how to connect internet with proxy.

Dear Everyone,
I want to connect my laptop with internet in RHEL5 in my office.How can i do this?The LAN card is ok and pinging with all other PCs connecting in network as well main PC with proxy.I am using firefox as web browser.I am able to connect internet in my laptop in windows in internet explorer but not in linux.My laptop is dual booting.

I am giving details of net configuration:-There is main PC in which a proxy is installed and that is connected to internet and all other PCs are connecting to non-conf switch and getting internet connection.

Default

Open Firefox
Click on Edit > Preferences
Find Network > Settings
And provide Proxy server IP and port.

Save the changes and you should able to connect to the Internet.

Thank you very much for your kind response.
But in preference,it was General tat>connection settings.Here i put the proxy address and port no and it is working fine.
