Default Thread dump.

Hello all,

I've been trying to do a thread dump on tomcat with the commands below but there are no results.

kill -3 pid
kill -QUIT pid
killall -3 java

Can anyone let me know what i'm doing wrong and how would i go about getting a thread dump? I'm using red hat 5.

Thank you all.
