Linux Find Hard Disk Make, Serial No info
hi all,
I m not getting harddisk information i.e. Make, Serial No. etc.etc. from a reomte server running on Centos 5 could ny body help me out to get hdd information from remote server. Thnx

Have you tried any one of the following commands?
SCSI Hdd info: Code:
sdparm /dev/sda IDE / SATA hdd info: Code:
hdparm -i /dev/hda Finally use dmidecode to get all BIOS and hardware information Get Information About Your BIOS / Server Hardware From a Shell Without Opening Chassis ( BIOS Decoder )
