asteriskbsd is what you may use. plus configuring zaptel may work with BSD as it is for linux which uses proc, try to install the linux emulation packages available for freebsd and then proceed with zaptel with proc enabled, because i havent been playing with BSD for more than a year now so dont know latest.

Well have you try to search in some online site that are related in your topic like that... I have know some site that you can see or found an little information and idea but this is little cheap than other site,,,
