Yes you can share file using various protocols.

Share files between Windows and FreeBSD systems - Use Samba (CIFS/SMB protocol) program:

FreeBSD and other UNIX (including Linux/BSD) like systems - Use NFS (network file system)
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/...twork-nfs.html

Other options FTP, HTTPD and so on.
