Default Redhat 5 screen goes blank after typing startx command
Hi to all,

I am not able to start my linux system in init 5 mode. the screen goes blank. I have tried to start the gui mode by typing startx in init 3 mode. the same issue persists. System-config-display is not working in any case. I have recently upgraded the system from RHEL 4 ES to RHEL 5 ES. the upgradation was successful. Please let me know the possible causes behind this and the resolution in this case.
