Default Linux NFS file locking soft or hard method
Please exaplain the term file locking in case of NFS. Which mount is useful in case of NFS? Hard mount or soft mount?

I am not able to use linux in init 5 mode. I have recently upgraded the linux os from RHEL 4 ES to RHEL5 ES. I was able to get the init 5 mode in RHEL 4. Please let me know any solution in this case. waiting for your reply.
