I am yet to learn much about X and I am a bit puzzled.

What is X-server and what is X-client and what is X-Application.

How can we display the contents of my Desktop running....say FC4, in the screen of my Laptop running SuSE 9.3. In this scenario, how does Linux authenticate.

I need to know all. I have also read somewhere that we can run X applications thru ssh. How can we go about it.
