Default Linux see ram usage for each process

Hi all,

I want to see detailed usage of RAM in Linux

i tried
free
top
vmstat
lsof
ps
pstree

but unable to get full/useful details
my requirement is, i want a command when executed it should give detail explanation of a process
this process is using this much ram etc..
I am having some doubt that through top command we can achieve this.. please share your exp. how to get rid of memory hogging process..
please share your usage of other command how to get out of this type of problems..
