Hey Tux
I'd forgotten all about this site. It looks like I went down the Ubuntu Road and stayed there. I have had a bit of a flirt with other OS's ( PCLinux OS, Vector Linux, Open Suse 10.3, Debian 4, eLive Gem e17, Sabayon ) occasionally, but at the end of the day, I'm just not a geek.
I have four applications I use - Firefox, Thunderbird, Open Office and.........of course.....The Gimp, and I find that the underlying OS is not really as important as I thought.
I think this means that I'll be staying a Novice and enjoying that. I can say at least one great thing for GNU/Linux as a whole: It's very good at directing your focus to what is really important for you personally in the world of computing. For that, I shall remain very grateful.
All the best with your explorations!
