if you do? let me know how you did it. i am breaking my head with redboot. and in redboot its all about dev of the core mips (32/64) and mipsel and debian endian little and big. but if its ipkg which is sorta like dpkg and upkg then i guess you are on your own. no clue.
by the way, is it a mips or mipsel or arm or strong arm type arch? then which is the device you are trying to get your work done? i am trying to install my own image for this dsl 500t by dlink and it has 8 mb of ram and 16 mb of flash/nvram. if you are using openwrt? then ipkg which is openwrt sort of similar the instructions are similar to dpkg or upkg. rest is not known to me. sorry. and i am still trying to get the redboot load off this 500t box with no serial port which i need to solder via hand in the mainboard. and coming back to your question? arm-linux suggests redhat like packages to be used and evaulated correspondingly. but i am wondering this? why are you running a RISC type linux on a CISC type hardware? anyway redboot is a redhat derivative.
the ball is in your court. TIA
