I got the same problem edubuntue 7.10
so I ve changed some the setting on /etc/fstab file
by add 0 instade of 1 at the the end of every line
1- make back up
sudo cp /etc/fstab /etc/fstab.save
2- update
sudo nano /etc/fstab

then press Ctrl+X to save the file
