If you write data in HDD it will take some time, instead of that you can write your data in RAM it will be much quicker. ( obviously when the system is switched OFF, you will loss data ). But i require this only for processing the data quickly.
I had a 2 GB RAM in my system, and i want to create a 1.5 GB RAMDISK, but i found it is possible only to create 25% of RAM as RAMDISK, to change this behaviour i need to change kernel parameter....
But i don't have any knowledge about that...
I think you could have understood this situation.
