Default Installing Cent OS Linux on Windows Vista

I am trying to install cent OS 4.5 version linux on my already
existing windows vista. When I am trying to install it from the cd I
am getting errors as cannot partition or partition failed: there is no
enough usable free space. I tried in several ways but couldn't figure
out. Please provide me a step by step procedure for installing linux. I
am mainly facing problems with partitioning hard drive and allocate it
for linux. I am not knowing how to do it. please help me as soon as
possible.
